As powerful as the iPhone hardware and the software on it is, it’s agreeable that IOS lacks some essential options. In this case, lack of a direct option to disable camera shutter sound in iPhone & iPad.
However there are two simple workarounds to Turnoff iPhone camera shutter sound. This also applies for iPad.
Two ways to TurnOff iPhone Camera shutter Sound
1. Keep your iPhone in Silent Mode.
Switch the ringer switch, also called Mute switch, to Silent Mode. In this mode, silence mode applies for iPhone camera too, there by resulting no shutter sound.
For Ipad users who don’t have a dedicated mute switch on their devices, you can set the volume to Zero which silences the camera shutter sound.
2. Turn On Live Photo
Another work around for this is by Turning on the Live Photos option available in the iPhone Camera app.
- Open Camera App on your iphone.
- Turn on the live photos by tapping the icon on the right top corner.
